Yoga to Birth – Pregnancy yoga classes and prenatal classes online

yoga to birth pregnancy yoga classes online

New WordPress website and secure membership platform for an online prenatal yoga and pregnancy education portal.

When this client approached me, she had a clear vision for her business and needed my help bringing the pieces together to transform it into a fully functioning online business.  More than a standard website, the goal was to create a professional online platform that could support pregnant women with online resources and videos including pregnancy yoga, prenatal classes, birth training and birth rehearsal programs, while also functioning as a secure membership-based learning environment.

WordPress website development with a secure MemberPress membership platform.

The project involved a complete WordPress website development, advanced membership functionality through MemberPress, protected video delivery through Vimeo, search engine optimisation (SEO), structured content organisation, and a user-friendly experience designed to support members throughout their pregnancy.

The Yoga to Birth website was designed to be far more than a standard brochure-style business website. It needed to function as an interactive online education platform with different levels of member access, secure video delivery and the flexibility to continue expanding over time.

The website structure was carefully planned to support the huge range of resources on offer including:

  • video classes
  • audio resources
  • video internviews
  • podcasts
  • internal and external resources
  • affiliate marketing
  • membership subscriptions with recurring payments
  • secure member-only content

The layout and navigation were also developed to make it easy for members to move through the platform and access information without confusion, particularly during pregnancy when many women can feel overwhelmed by the amount of information available online.

MemberPress integration and membership setup

One of the most important components of the project was the integration and configuration of MemberPress which handles multiple membership types with different payment structures and access permissions.

Membership options include weekly memberships, one-off memberships, combined access packages, time-limited access periods and recurring subscription management.

This involved configuring protected content rules, membership tiers, subscription logic, automated access expiry, member registration flows, pricing structures and member account functionality to ensure the platform operated smoothly for both the client and members accessing the online portal.

Login and restricted content experiences

Secure Vimeo video integration was paramount in helping protect the client’s intellectual property. Because video content forms a major part of the Yoga to Birth experience, it was critical to ensure the videos were both secure and easy for members to access.

The project included extensive Vimeo integration to host and protect premium member-only video content, including uploading and organising video libraries, embedding videos across the website, configuring Vimeo privacy settings, restricting where videos could be embedded, preventing unauthorised public access, troubleshooting indexing and embedding issues, and optimising video display for desktop and mobile devices.

Different privacy configurations were required depending on whether content was intended to be publicly visible or restricted to paying members. Because online course piracy and content sharing can become a significant issue for membership websites, careful consideration was given to balancing user experience with content protection.

Additional customisations were also implemented throughout the membership platform, including tailored signup fields, agreement checkboxes, subscription acknowledgement messaging, customised login experiences and restricted content access to ensure the platform operated smoothly and transparently for members.

SEO strategy and content optimisation

The website redevelopment also included a strong SEO focus to help Yoga to Birth improve its visibility across Google, search engines and AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

This involved keyword research and content planning, creating an SEO-friendly website structure, improving website performance and addressing indexing considerations required by the search engines and AI.

Rather than relying on generic wording, the content strategy focused heavily on practical, supportive and experience-based language to better connect with the target audience while also helping search engines and AI systems better understand and reference the website’s content.

Creating a scalable online business platform

As the website grew, and the business continues to grow and evolve into the future, a major part of the project became organising large amounts of educational material into a structure that felt intuitive for user and  support future scalability so new courses, interviews and resources could continue to be added over time without creating a messy user experience.

Creating a scalable online business platform

The finished result is a highly customised online membership platform designed to support Yoga to Birth as the business continues to grow.
