Big Rig Media, based in Davidson on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, sells advertising space on the huge B-double trucks that traverse our major roads and highways delivering essential products throughout Australia.
The uniqueness of the services offered by Big Rig Media meant I had to think outside the square when it came to my SEO strategy. To this end, I opted to align them with complimentary businesses that offer a similar, but different, advertising and marketing services. As a new business, the client didn’t have many product examples so I created advertising mock-ups for use throughout the website (see an example below).
Without many competitors in the marketplace, it was important that the services offered were clearly and succinctly represented on the website. As an introduction, I featured a video animation on the desktop version of the home page. Due to the larger download size of videos, I didn’t include it at the top of the home page on the mobile version of the website. The video would have slowed down the page load time when viewed on a mobile device and this is not advisable.
The client can now use the website as an impressive marketing tool that showcases the features and benefits of B-double truck advertising. With the search engine optimisation I added, it should also attract new customers who hadn’t been aware that truck advertising was a viable marketing tool.
