Newport Surf Club
I have been working with the Club management committee at Newport Surf Club since 2011 when I developed their first website. After completing their first website, I provided the relevant members with WordPress training so they could confidently self manage their website inhouse. In 2020, it came time to refresh the look and feel of that original website and overhaul the content.
Over the past decade, not only did the website design start to look a little outdated but the content and structure of the website had become congested and needed a general overhaul. Obsolete pages and functionality were deleted and new, relevant information added. The Club’s online e-commerce shop also got a revamp. In consultation with the Committee, quick links were added throughout the website to assist new and current members to quickly navigate through the website.

NEWPORT SMALL BUSINESS CASE STUDY 2
Chloe’s Creative Classroom
At the onset of COVID in early 2020, many pre-schools and childcare centres closed and parents were forced to home school children while they too worked from home. Newport small business owner, Chloe Campana, saw a need in this changing marketplace and, with her degree in early childcare, created Chloe’s Creative Classroom. Created with the purpose of connecting with children so they can learn through an interactive classroom, Chloe’s Creative Classroom is always fun, creative and educational.
Chloe required a website so she could spread the word about her exciting new business and also take bookings. Chloe contacted me to develop her website and I was only too happy to assist. Being a start-up business, I came up with an affordable web design package that fit within Chloe’s budget yet looked anything but “cheap”. The finished website looked great and suitably represented Chloe’s fun yet professional service.
