When the owner of InfoGuides, a Sydney based business that produces high-quality brochures for venues, approached me they had a very generic Weebly website that they had designed in-house. With their limited website design expertise, the Weebly website had reached its full potential and the client wanted to project a more professional impression to their customers.
I recommended converting their website from Weebly to WordPress. WordPress is a cost-effective website platform that powers approximately one-third of all websites globally. It’s potential is virtually limitless easily accommodating further expansion any time in the future, should the client require it.
WordPress also comes with an easy-to-use content management system so the client could make updates inhouse with very little website design expertise and experience. As always, I make myself available to my clients to provide face-to-face or telephone training, should it be required.
In this instance, the client only required a simple, one-page website to get them started with a short turnaround time of two weeks – which I achieved with time to spare.
The result was a stylish website that conveyed an image of professionalism and showcased examples of their brochures.
Search engine optimisation (SEO) was not a requirement as the client liaises with new customers direct and doesn’t on search engines to attract new business. When creating the website I put in place functionality so SEO could be added anytime in the future easily and at a nominal cost.

About the client – InfoGuides
InfoGuides produce bespoke, high-quality publications for venues such as wedding reception venues and funeral homes. Their publications are designed to the client’s personal specifications and needs. The brochures contain all the venue’s images, text, services, etc. InfoGuides will organise all the design work including printing and delivery plus provide the brochure in a PDF format. They are a great promotional tool for any venue.
